"Without dreams, we couldn't live." Kara Melancon

Don't ever give up your dreams
. . .

I know you're going
To make it
It may take time
And hard work
You may become frustrated
And at times you'll feel
like giving up
Sometimes you may even
wonder if it's really
worth it
But I have confidence
in you,
And I know you'll make it
if you try.

~ Amanda Pierce

We all have dreams and goals; but it is very important to clearly define what they are. If we know exactly what we want, we can accomplish those things better. The hard thing is that, to get in touch with what we REALLY WANT. So spend a good amount of time deciding what those things are and what goals you want to accomplish - then write them down. We have to believe that it is possible for us to achieve our dreams, because only then will they become a reality.

I believe that we all have the power to achieve our dreams and goals

What stop us are the excuses we make not to follow through; some times it's scary to follow our hearts' desires. We convince ourselves that something won't work, that it's not possible. What will people say? What will people think? Louise Hay says (in "The Power is Within You"): "Our limitations often stop us from expressing and experiencing the totality of possibilities".*

We have to set our goals very clearly and set them for ourselves and not borrow them from others. The following is something Shakti Gawain wrote in her books "Awakening" and "Reflections in the Light":

"What do you want?

We all want certain things, although we may not always be conscious of what they are. If we can get in touch with what we want, we can create it. Because simply by becoming conscious of our desires, we begin to manifest them in our lives.

Set Goals

Once you are conscious of what you want, you can begin to take the next step, which is setting goals. To receive what you desire you must take some action toward it. This action is not complicated. Simply write down what your goals are for the coming year, for the next five years. Writing them doesn't mean you have to stick to them. Your goals are always evolving and changing. But you must recognize and acknowledge what they are now. Then you can begin to move forward.

Our desires and our goals give us direction and focus. They help point us down our path of action in life."

It is very important to have dreams. We should all have something to look forward to - a dream, a goal, no matter how young or old we are. Lucinda Bassett wrote in "Life Without Limits": "The key to real happiness is being able to work toward your goals and yet enjoy where you are now in your life, completely and with passion, and with constant gratitude that you are lucky just to be experiencing life at all." She also wrote: "We know deep inside what we need to feel happy, content, fulfilled, and excited about the future. We also know deep inside what is draining us and making us feel depressed, frustrated and stressed out." So do some careful thinking and be in touch with those things that make you happy and excited about life (and DO THOSE THINGS!) and GET RID of the things that drain all your energy and only give you stress.

Have more than one dream - if one doesn't become a reality it just wasn't meant to be and others will definitely come true! BELIEVE!

Give yourself a chance to fulfill your hopes
and dreams ...

"You have the courage and power to live your dreams."

"When your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme."
Jiminy Cricket (cartoon character)

"An open mind allows you to explore and create and grow. A closed mind seals off any such creative explanation."

Wayne Dyer

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."

Eleanor Roosevelt

"Open your mind to all possibilities, because whether you believe something is possible or impossible, either way you'll be right."

Wayne Dyer

"Become aware that you already possess all the inner wisdom, strength, and creativity needed to make your dreams come true."

Sarah Ban Breathnach

"Whatever we are waiting for - peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance - it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart."

Sarah Ban Breathnach

"Miracles start to happen when you give as much energy to your dreams as you do to your fears."

Richard Wilkins

"People too weak to follow their own dreams, will always find a way to discourage others..."

"Refuse to allow yourself to have low expectations about what you're capable of creating."

Wayne Dyer

"You can't just sit there and wait for people to give you that golden dream; you've got to get out there and make it happen for yourself."
Diana Ross

"Keep moving in the direction of your dreams..."

"Life is but a dream we renew each day. It is up to us to infuse this dream with light, and to cultivate, as best as we are able, the ways and habits of love. Those of great heart have always known this. It is not hard. There is in each of us, no matter how humble, a capacity for love. Even if our lives have not taken the course we had envisioned, even if we are less than the shape of our dreams, we are part of the human family. Somewhere, in the most inconsequential corners of our lives, is the opportunity for love."
Kent Nerburn

"Follow your dreams wherever they lead, don`t be distracted by less worthy needs...
Shelter them, nourish them, help them grow. Let your heart hold them down deep where dreams go. Follow your dreams pursue them with haste; Life is too precious too fleeting to waste... Be faithful, be loyal, then all your life through, the dreams that you follow will keep coming true..."

Larry S. Chengges

Always have a dream

Forget about the day when it's been cloudy,
but don't forget your hours in the sun.
Forget about the times you've been defeated,
but don't forget the victories you've won.
Forget about mistakes that you can't change now,
but don't forget the lessons that you've learned.
Forget about misfortunes you encounter,
but don't forget the times your luck has turned.
Forget about the days when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly smiles you've seen.
Forget about the plans that didn't work out right,
but don't forget to always have a dream.

Achieve your Dreams ...

Don't ever give up your dreams... and never leave them behind.
Find them; make them yours, and all through your life, cherish them, and never let them go.
